Data engineering & AI automation
Former lift engineer, now building data pipelines and AI automations. Based in Singapore, open to remote.
Singapore · 1.35°N 103.82°E
I spent 9+ years in engineering operations and facilities.
At SMRT I kept lifts and escalators running for Singapore's rail network. I was promoted to Assistant Engineer II, and I stepped up as team lead on short notice to clear a backlog of undone documentation by priority.
That's where I saw how much more I could do with data and AI.
So I retrained through Generation Singapore's Junior Data Engineer programme, with Microsoft and Temasek Polytechnic. Now I build data pipelines and AI automations that save small businesses hours of manual work.
Five kinds of problems I like to work on. Point at one and the certificate directory lights up the training behind it. It works the other way too.

A made-up lift maintenance log, the kind of sheet most data work starts with. Press run and a real cleaning pipeline tidies it, right here in your browser.
| Station | Lift | Date | Task | Status |

10 raw rows, straight from a shared sheet.
Jobs per station (cleaned)

Pick the one that sounds like you. I'll show you how I'd tackle it, and what I've already built that's close.
This sounds like
How I'd tackle it: Write a small Python script or scheduled job that pulls, tidies and moves the data on its own, then tells you when it's done.
